Re: Ad on wow forums
It is becouse we are nice and good, and people think its a trap to lure them in!!
Nobody can bealive such nice people exist!!
Also why I decide to give Buc a shout and not others. It was his old signature I bealive it went something like:
Its nice to be important but its is more important to be nice.
I also like Thunus sig on wow forum, real good. Those two were only two normal sigs I have seen in sea of well, stupidity, mostly.

Well thank you, but it's a quote from Thalios so credits go to him I just couldn't agree more and that's why I quoted it there. Hmm.. Well let's try to think it this way: if YOU were going to reroll somewhere, what would influence your choice the most?

To answer your question:
1. English speaking population (90% of people I met on Shattered Hand speaks english quite well. I came accross maybe 2-3 people who couldn't speak english at all)
2. Ballanced Horde-Ally ratio (well, we are probably outnumbered by allys a bit )
3. Good battle group (we are in Cyclone which is actually quite good)
4. PVP/PVE server - I don't mind RP... not sure My other toon is on Ravenholdt which is RPPVP (ally side) and was quite good have to say
5. Not overpopulated server and not underpopulated I think SH is in the middle
6. Some nice and friendly guilds around
Apart from that I'd consider overall prices on AH and how does stuff sell but you need to try it to get an idea.

Re: Ad on wow forums
Well firt that GM seemed to be a nice person, second that we were all adults (when we first banded together) and have a lot of RL obligations, however we manage to play a lot. I detested those people yelling noobs, turning back on you,... Then it appealed to me that we intend to be casual about it, to regard wow as a game, which it is in the end. We were at Maraudon yestrday and we didnt make it till the end but we had lots of fun, neverthelees (mostly at buc's expense). I met people in wow that would went crazy if they were there yestrday, I realy had tons of fun!!
Guess people of our frame of mind were rare in this game.
I mean really, lot of people play game only for end game conent and how are we going ever to pull it off?
I dont know never been there, but if we have hard time banding up for instances,... well maybe when we are all lvl 70 it will be easier but now. realy dont know.

Oh man... don't even remind me I was utterly tired yesterday (but I wanted to go there badly to get to 48 which I didn't achieve in the end anyway) and I think I'm sick a bit (headache and all the rest) so could not focus on what I was doing there at all Was running around like headless (and clueless) chicken And of course didn't read what you were typing in party chat These /rw stuff worked much better with me yesterday Good to hear that someone had fun in there after all hehehe I think I'll wait till weekend before I run any instance again
Re: Ad on wow forums
Tbh I can't think of anything we could do differently to get people interested. Guess our best bet is to build a reputation as someone said in the guild, can't remember who it was maybe Rawrrz maybe Akky the Wise (Akaris ). We could have a guild meeting in a public place (Orgrimmar, anyone?) and let people see that we're really having fun together?

Yeah that /rw stuff is really good. I thought you will get the same effect with /Y but that only puts a red text, and was wondering what I am doing wrong. That realy cleared it up for me. And it is MUCH better for warning.

Re: Ad on wow forums
I guess we don't have a good reputation running around and ganking allys every sunday But hey - it's a pvp server
Re: Ad on wow forums
Hahaha, well yeah maybe alliance doesn't like it BUT they made the choice to roll on a PvP server themselves I say we do a train through Orgrimmar! everyone puts /follow on the person in front of them and everyone spams /train while the train leader decides where to go I did this on Stormscale and we got some random people join us in the train fun fun fun

Re: Ad on wow forums
Well you managed to steal my attention with the thread you had out on Newcomers forum, so as far as I'm concerned it is working as intended.

Re: Ad on wow forums
BTW, Akaris I think bumped the old add, and since then two peeps posted on it to join.
What to do now, I mean which one will we keep bumping, since the old one is ahead of the new one?

Well the old one got more attention so I guess that's the one then. The new one contains more information though, so I can't see why no one's interested in that.

Re: Ad on wow forums
Maybe we should copy and paste all the stuff from new thread to the old one as an update (and bump at the same time)??? What do you think?
And thanks for feedback mate

The only question that remains is: who gets the honor to bump it? ^^

Re: Ad on wow forums
Heh, I guess it was me who bumped it with some small comment I'm sure it will go down the page during the day so feel free to bump it with the stuff from other thread or anything else
Actually would be nice if everyone drops a line or two every now and then in this thread

Re: Ad on wow forums
I've seen your bump Kadath Good stuff For a first while I thought that it was someone else advertising in our thread as you posted on your ally toon hehehe
Re: Ad on wow forums
Hehe, I prefer posting on my lvl 70 character because some people think they post more credible info.

Re: Ad on wow forums
Our recruitment thread on wow forums dissapeared for whatever reason... we need something new I think we should emphasize the 'help newcomers' element bit more if we want it to stay in newcomers forum Any ideas?
Re: Ad on wow forums
I gues Ill try and think of something until tommorow!
