Yello have done quite a lot of stuff that people know, but don't know it's by them I was a huge fan for a while back in the 80's.

I'm guesing that'll be the DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (can't see it from work again).

That takes me back - I was very into (what was then) the unerground Hip-Hop movement when all these guys started out, I remember with hilarity that LL-Cool-J's mother wouldn't let him go and perform at the first Fresh-Fest (big Hip-Hop festival in the states, with heavyweights like Run-DMC, Afrika BamBaataa and the Soul Sonic Force etc performing) because she though he was getting too big a head from his fame (he was about 16 at the time and had already had a couple of hits in the Hip-Hop world).

Can you imagine as 16 year old LL-Cool-J 'But mom! everyone's expecting me to perform', 'No! you're getting too big for your boots, you're grounded young man! and don't think I won't put you over my knee for talking back'

I guess it's where he got insipration for 'Mama said knock you out' eh?
