Some ideas for guild events.

So here's some events my guild, ]ASA[, in MU Online hosted:

1. (Can't remember name) - Get a certain amount of some items (in MU it was apples dropped by low level mobs).

2. Hide And Seek - This is actually a 'followup' to the first game as you have to find the guild master and give the items to him to proceed to the next round. The guild master hides in a place he chose and he gives hints of his whereabouts in guild chat and players must find him.

3. A Race - A simple race. In MU this meant running (or flying as everyone had wings >_>) from one area into another.


As for the prizes: nothing too fancy so it doesn't ruin the losers' day If you come up with anything else, post it here, I'll do that too.

And of course the whole event ended in a screenshot of the whole guild having fun together

EDIT: I'll collect the ideas into this one post so it's easier to read:

- raiding ally towns/camps
- competing in BGs (highest number of kills, etc)
- duell championships
- Gurubashi Arena 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, XvX
- Train! (We put /follow on each other and run through places spamming /train )
- Video Contest (Get fraps, record/edit videos. Theme changes every time: PvP/PvE/DRAMA/humor etc)
- The Noggenfogger Roulette (We jump down from Thunder Bluff and chug a Noggenfogger Elixir and hope we get the slow fall buff, the survivors move on to the next round)

I am not sure what to think of it i will others opinions judge

We can think about some events allright Especially after the guild gathering

- raiding ally towns/camps
- competing in BGs (highest number of kills, etc)
- duell championships (we would need to group up people with the same levels though or wait till everyone is 70 )

Etc... Don't know if these are any good but others might thrown in something as well and we can then pick one or two

Well I like those. The BG competing would just be ... interesting For example I, as a shaman, can spam rank 1 chain lightning to rack up killing blows or spam chain heal to win a honor farming competition . I really like the idea about a duel tournament! Then again we must be at the same level, which will cause some trouble.

Some interesting ideas there, the only one that really stands out for me at the moment is the duelling competiton , not that the others aren't doable - but i think they'll need a lot of work and organisation, plus of course you'd have to make them more fun than questing to draw people away from levelling.

That's just an idea Some classes are way better in BGs with kills the other ones so we can think of something different like number of assaulted/defended flags or captured/returned flags

For duells we can get groups in around 2-3lvls I guess

Again - these are only ideas and all should try to throw in something they think might be fun as well

As for the battlegrounds, we could make a guild premade!

The dueling one is cool, my old guild at level 60 did that in the arena in STV so the loser died
and then you can also do 2v2s + etc

Yeah Gurubashi arena! 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, 10v10, XvX matches there I love that idea!

Another one my guild (this time from WoW; <And the rest of the gang> from Stormscale) did was a guild train. We picked one guy to lead the train and the followers put a /follow on the guy in front of him and so we walked through orgrimmar spamming /train. Some random people joined us too, it was hilarious Unfortunately I lost all the videos of this when I formatted my computer.

Hehehe this ganking stuff reminds me of a post on wow forums (sh realm forum) where some ally whined about ganking and pvp etiquette Stuff like not attack lower levels or enemies on escorte quests, low on health etc Usually he didn't get much of positive reactions...

This is WAR! We are HORDE! The first words in wow intro 'the drums of war(...)'

I try not to gank low lvls or kill them when they are low on hp or on escort q but they don't give a flying f*ck about what I do, how much hp I have, etc so why should I care? I try to be nice but sometimes it's just too much..

Same here. Realy no point in killing the low levels. On the other hand I have never seen that some higher level ally spare me, never. So I gave up the idea of fair play in this case and just killing all. Once i saw an ally in ratchet on the hill near the south entrance. You know the escort quest when you escort that belf from ally fort? well the prick (70) was on that hill and whenever someone got a couple of yards from turn in guy he killed the belf and left the player be. Thats the single most indecent thing I have ever seen in wow.

Actually people could have reported that guy because it's stated in the rules that if other players prevent you from playing the game (for example questing) they will get a warning/temporary ban.

I leave low levle allys alone unless they piss me off, if I am going to kill a simliar level ally I wait for them to get hp and mana and dont attack until they have killed the mob, unless they have ganked me before, or if there are 2+ allys ><

The other day a was in a cave and there was two allys there was a mob between us, theyattacked it so I just walked past them and went outside killing mobs, I could have easierly killed them but didnt, then they come outside and kill me while killing a mob grr

There you go. Prevention is always best. Kill em all I say

To be honest I'm indiscriminate most of the time. The only thing that stops me attacking an ally is if I don't feel like it, in balance I've jumped ppl much higher level than me on occasion as well as much lower

I'm just after as much PvP experience as I can get really, I need to improve a lot

One notable was the other day in STV, spied a (same level) shaman dude killing mobs in the quest area I was at, I snuck where he couldn't see me and let loose with the Frosty Bolts of Goodness, not half a second later I was annihilated by a ?? who had either been following me - or was with the shaman dude, he had been completely out of view of me though.

Yeah, I had the same situation few times. Left allys fighting mob thinking it won't be fair and 2min later had them on my back kicking the bejesus outta me when I was fighting mobs
