ToC 10 man raid Discussion

i will see how the field looks and if needed i bring Lea for a DPS boost...

Roaster for TOC 10 newbies' run thursday 3/12/2009 (subject to changes until raid starts if ppl can't show up or any IRL/ingame stuff let someone unable to play ofc :

TANKS:
Grandetoro
Femia

HEALERS:
Bertinha
Shanla
... (Mr X: getting a PUG to fill the spot?)

MELEE DPS:

I tried to take into consideration raid balance (I think we do need 3 healers but i might be wrong, since i have never been in TOC before, if not one more DPS spot is open), and the utility of trying not to duplicate classes in order to get the more benefit from each other's specialities. Exception goes to Pahana and Femia (2 palas) but since we need 2 tanks and no other melee DPS but Krosof was signed for raid i think we needed at least 2 melee DPSers.

I took Ocha over Zax as lock for he was signed earlier.

If there is anything I made wrong (can't log in game right now to check if I'm not mistaken) pls post.

Edited: Ocha signed up earlier than Zax. Switched Nyc to Lea (P.S. if Nizza wanna come healing there is a healer's spot open ...

Hmm i accualy think DPS looks pretty good... so i think you should try taking Och or Nyc instead of Lea.... It is your call mate and i dont mind at all sitting it out.... and if needed Lea can always help out later....

Sure i'd take Nyc over lea then but ... dont we need a mage for spellsteal buff from Lor Jaraxus? Or will Moolove's purge enought for it?

At any rate i'm changing it switching lea and Nyc for ranged spot :-).

As you maybe know I have table tennis on schedule tonight.. I will probably be online after that, but don't now how much energy I have, which is why I didn't sign up for this..

Regarding group: I think Hunters can use tranquilaty shots aswell to remove the buff...

Had massive troubles agin yestrday, and I will look into stuff more seriously today. Contacted the provider so well wait out and see. Hopefuly it will blow off till sundays raid.

I think this was so that Grande could join.. We only have last boss left.

Yeah only last boss... and i think we defelently have DPS for it.... So hopfully it will only take 30 min or so...

Joking aside, yes i won't be able to log before 10 pm (maybe even a bit later tonight), but since we only have last Boss to try i think we'll made it quite soon (hopefully: 2 tanks with no shield while i read that shielded ppl are best suited for Anub ... but hey, we tried 2 healers' setup and it worked so why not tryin' a semi-hard mode with no shield bearers?).

Warning for TOC 10 signed up for tonight (if there are any): i'm having troubles installing the patch so it's likely i won't be able to log in game tonight (as i wasn't able to on patch day yesterday). Hope i'll be able to fix it (thinking about reinstalling all WOW, which will take a lot of time on my obsolete hardware anyway) but can't say for sure.

So i apologize in advance if i won't be able to show up.

The kind of problem that the patch progressing line goes on ... and on ... and on ... and never stops.
I might have some corrupted file in my pre-patch downloaded so i started to download the whole 3.3 patch (something like 750Mb) from a download mirror, but it's taking a bit and i haven't it ready yet.
I'm trying this because if i really had to reinstall the whole WOW it'll take me more than 3 hours on my PC (did it once, during TBC after i got a virus and will never ever do that again if i can avoid ... )

There's one thing that migth help you out lads if you are running vista or windows 7. Because of the security settings in those both systems patch might not be properly installed yet there will be no warning from OS itself that this file is attempting to make changes on the computer. Solution to this is NOT to run your patch installation from the level of game launcher but what you have to do is to open WoW directory (where you have your game installed), find patch file (name of the file should be "WoW-3.2.2.10505-to-3.3.0.10958-enGB-downloader"), right click on it and select option 'run file as administrator'. Helped in my case with windows 7 and I know vista is exactly the same. If you go for this option then patch file will automatically be allowed to make changes on the PC and install itself correctly.
